The horizontal Zulfiqar blade curved, bifurcated at the tip, with a detailed ribbed hilt bears the full Arabic inscription across its face: “La fata illa Ali, la saif illa Zulfiqar” (There is no brave man except Ali, there is no sword except Zulfiqar). Rising above the blade, bold raised Arabic calligraphy spells “Ali” dominating the pendant in form as the name dominates history.
